Hair Restoration

Nonsurgical hair restoration combines collagen induction therapy with the power of PRP (platelet-rich plasma) or exosomes for long-term hair regrowth with little to no downtime. When PRP or exosomes are applied to areas of the scalp that have suffered thinning or baldness, they can jumpstart dormant follicles, stimulating them to produce hair. Barrett utilizes cutting-edge technology to maximize results using PRP and exosome treatments.

Pre and Post Operative Instructions
About

Collagen induction therapy is an excellent solution for many patients wishing to restore a receding hairline, bald spots, thinning, or other hair loss due to various issues. This treatment is best for those in the early stages of hair loss, hair loss confined to smaller areas of the scalp, or hair loss caused by alopecia areata (an autoimmune disorder that causes bald spots). This treatment may be performed as a standalone procedure or after a hair transplant to enhance results.

Some hair loss, however, cannot be solved by stimulating the follicle. During your initial consultation, your injector will better understand your goals and complete an exam to determine whether this treatment is right for you.

How Does Hair Restoration Work?

Collagen Induction Therapy treatments use tiny needles to create small punctures in the skin. This process triggers the body’s natural healing response, stimulates collagen production, and jumpstarts dormant hair follicles. When paired with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) or exosomes, patients experience enhanced results, faster healing, and increased long-term collagen stimulation and hair growth.

To prepare for this treatment, you may be asked to
Stop smoking
Stop using retinol or Retin-A products
Avoid the sun
Drink plenty of water
Not use blood thinners for 2 weeks

PRP vs Exosomes

PROCEDURE DETAILS
Breast Augmentation with Implants

Incision options vary based on the type of implant used, the placement, and the patient's preference. Options include:

Transaxillary

Inside the armpit

Inframammary

Beneath the breast

Periareolar

Around the areolar

Regardless of the incision technique, your surgeon will carefully perform each pocket dissection to avoid bleeding. Each pocket is irrigated three times with a triple antibiotic solution to help reduce the risk of capsular contracture.

Next, the implant is placed into the breast pocket using a Keller funnel, which has been proven to decrease incision size and the risk of capsular contracture significantly. Implants are placed in two locations: above (subglandular) or below the chest muscle (submuscular).

After the surgeon places the implants, on-table sizing is used to ensure the implants will successfully achieve your goals and avoid any asymmetries. Incisions are then closed using a layered closure technique to minimize tension and decrease inflammation, ensuring minimal scarring and optimal healing.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a naturally occurring substance in your blood that is rich in growth factors that stimulate collagen production, enhance tissue healing, and encourage hair growth among other things. A small amount of your blood is drawn and placed into a centrifuge to separate PRP from the rest of the blood cells. The PRP is then applied to the face topically and worked deep into the scalp using collagen induction therapy.

Exosomes used in facial treatments are sourced from regenerative cells containing a high concentration of growth factors, cytokines, and other bioactive molecules that promote tissue regeneration and stimulate long-lasting hair growth and collagen production. Exosomes are applied to the scalp in a liquid form and worked into the skin using collagen induction therapy.

After treatment

Patients typically experience redness and tenderness immediately following hair restoration treatment with microneedling. You are advised to avoid sun exposure for a specific amount of time after this treatment to avoid irritation. While patients will often see improvement after the first treatment, significant results begin to appear after 2-3 treatments, coinciding with the body’s natural production of collagen, and will continue to improve for 6-12 months.

FAQs

The number of treatments needed will vary depending on your hair loss and goals for restoration. Most patients are advised treatment sessions every 4-6 weeks, with visible results seen after 1-2 sessions.

A topical numbing cream is applied to the scalp before treatment begins to ensure your comfort. Many patients report some tenderness to the scalp following the procedure.

Hair growth is gradual, so it may take several weeks to see significant growth. Patients may notice an increased thickness and improved texture of their hair, which will continue to improve over time.
