Eyelid Surgery
Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure used to remove excess skin, muscle, and/or fat from the upper or lower eyelids to restore a youthful, rested, and refreshed appearance to the upper face.
Is Eyelid Surgery
right for you ?
Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is an excellent procedure for patients with concerns around the upper eyelid or under-eye area. This procedure effectively eliminates wrinkles, sagging upper eyelid skin, and bags or circles under the eyes. Many patients opt to reverse signs of aging on both the upper and lower eyelids with a combined procedure. Early candidates for upper eyelid surgery are simply seeking to eliminate excess skin and only undergo an upper bleph. Other early candidates experience hereditary under-eye bags or dark circles and only undergo a lower bleph.
For those looking to correct minor concerns under the eyes, we offer a range of less-invasive alternatives, such as the non-surgical brow lift and other injectable treatments. Eyelid surgery, however, provides the most effective and longest-lasting results. During the initial consultation, your surgeon will provide a comprehensive exam and discuss your goals to understand if this procedure is correct for you.

Before surgery
A patient care concierge will guide you through the entire consultation process, which can be attended in person or virtually. During the consultation, your surgeon will learn about your goals, answer any questions, and perform an examination to create a personalized surgical plan. You will then be matched with a surgical coordinator who will walk you through each step of the preoperative process.
During surgery
For upper eyelid surgery, your surgeon will make incisions within the natural crease to remove excess skin and tissue and tighten the underlying muscles. To close the incisions, your surgeon will use a unique layered suturing technique that minimizes tension to minimize scarring. There's no visible scarring for lower eyelid surgery since the incision is made inside the eyelid.
After surgery
Most patients experience swelling and pain following surgery that diminish within a few days. Your surgeon will provide specific instructions for optimal post-operative care, including an advanced scar management protocol after the initial healing period. Your surgical team is always available and will closely monitor your recovery in the weeks and months following surgery.
